What is Information,Types of data,Why and what to secure, Threats, Types of Hackers,What is Security breach,Elements of information security,Risk and risk assesments,Three phases of Hacking,Defending and countermeasures.

 Day 3 was intiated with hands on pracitcals with Installation of VMware,Creating and installing Windows Xp in virtual environment.

Theory topics covered in day 3 are Objectives & outcomes of Information gathering,Introductoin to Information gathering,Masking identity,

A special workshop was given to students on Digital cyber forensics for students.Topics covered in day 5 are :

1. Compare data with hash using hashcalc tool.
    

2. Hex analysis using hex editor tool.
    

3. Investigating email analysis involving header check.
    

4. Tracing route of suspicious email.
    

5. Performing a check on spam mail and non- spam mail.
    

6. Registry editing and viewing using native tools of OS.
    

7. Windows registry lab using Sysinternals suite.
    

8. Graphical file analysis and image analysis.
    

9. Using steghide tool for hiding and extracting data.
    

10. How to recover deleted files from usb with sleuth kit.

Topics covered in Day 2 are  Introduction to Malwares,Introduction to Virus,Creating virus using tools,Introduction to Worms,Trojan,Creating trojans using tools, Backdoor & Anti-virus

Day 4 was fully covered in lab sessions for students. Students were given hands on practicals in creating & installing Windows 7 & 10 in virtual environment, Installing VMware supporting tools, Creating virus using tools and Creating trojan using tools.
